LifeStraw – Personal Water Filter

When backpacking, you often travel to countries and regions where clean drinking water is not available. LifeStraw is the solution to this problem. Drink directly from a stream, river, or from a bottle using your LifeStraw. By drinking through the LifeStraw, the water is pulled through the filter, removing 99.9999% of all bacteria. LifeStraw weighs only 56 grams and takes up minimal space in a backpack. Thanks to its compact size, it is an ideal backup when traveling in areas where water quality may deteriorate, making it a perfect travel companion. LifeStraw filters a minimum of 1,000 litres and up to 4,000 litres of water. The water filter works without batteries or power, contains no chemicals, and has no unnecessary replacement parts. Contaminated water is forced through the narrow LifeStraw filter, where bacteria and protozoa are trapped in the filter membrane. Only clean drinking water can pass through the filter. After use, regularly blow air back through the LifeStraw to keep the filter clean and prevent clogging. LifeStraw is therefore ideal as an emergency solution during trekking, as you can drink from almost any water source you encounter. It is also suitable for use in cities where tap water is not safe to drink. LifeStraw has a length of 22.5 cm and a diameter of 2.5 cm and comes with a lanyard so it can be worn around the neck.
